LUNA Fête 2024 - Event Details
Illuminate Your Imagination - from Gallier Hall to Piazza d’Italia
About the Fete
Created and produced by Arts New Orleans, LUNA Fête showcases our city’s dynamic contemporary art, film, and technology industries in a large-scale, free, public festival that inspires locals and visitors alike. This year, LUNA Fête’s 11th Edition returns home to Lafayette Square and will be held November 14-17, 6-10pm nightly!
Through the theme of “Melody & Mythology”, we invite spectators into an immersive experience illuminated by contemporary artists and composed by innovative musicians. This year, our campus includes a new premier projection mapping installation on Gallier Hall, an opportunity to host a private party in a LUNA VIP Suite, and a sponsor-branded block party along Lafayette Street leading into a unique light and music experience at the Piazza d’ Italia.
LUNA Fête is especially popular with young children and families, inspiring the addition of the new Little LUNA Kids Corner to an already vibrant campus. This kid-centered art space will feature a special art installation and encourage young children to dance and play in the light.
Finally, LUNA Fête’s 11th Edition will feature LUNA Lounge presented by the Downtown Development District, a VIP oasis nestled in the festival grounds. Tickets will include complimentary bites, drink tickets, dedicated restrooms, and exclusive art installations.
Experience NOLA Aglow
As spectators wander from Gallier Hall to the Piazza d’Italia they are enveloped into an immersive experience that transcends the universal language of melody, connecting rhythm and narrative to breathe life into lore. Artists’ LED sculptures and digital projections offer a harmonious fusion of color, form, and sound reimagining ancient myths and local mysteries.
Through "Melody and Mythology," we witness not just the creation of art but the very alchemy of light and sound, reimagining the stories of our past with technology of the future.
